POSTPARTUM
PRECAUTIONS &
CONCERNS

CONTACT US TO REPORT ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Excessive Bleeding (Filling a pad or more an hour)

  • Passing large blood clots (Larger than the size of your fist)

  • Painful or frequent urination, or difficulty urinating

  • Fever (>100.4° F with or without chills)

  • Pain in lower abdomen (With or without foul-smelling vaginal discharge)

  • Red, swollen, warm, tender breast (With or without a fever)

  • Discharge, pain or redness that doesn’t go away or gets worse around your c-section incision, episiotomy or perineal tear

  • Cough or shortness of breath

  • Excessive swelling

  • Feelings of wanting to harm yourself or your baby
